  • BTS FESTA 2025: A Beautiful Experience Through the Eyes of a devoted ARMY

Every year, June becomes more than just the start of summer for millions of ARMYs around the globe -as it transforms into a celebration of music, memories, and the enduring bond between BTS and their ARMY. This year's BTS FESTA 2025 was no exception. Overflowing with emotion, nostalgia, and powerful performances, this year’s celebration brought fans even closer to their beloved septet in ways both grand and intimate. To capture the spirit of this unforgettable event, our beloved and honorary Sophia sat down with Angy, a sweet and passionate ARMY who had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend the festivities in person. She even shared her most cherished moments with us in the form of photographs. From emotional highlights and surprises to personal reflections and moments that made her heart race, Angy takes us behind the scenes of BTS FESTA 2025 - a journey painted in purple, passion, and pure love. But before we share lets know about our sweet ARMY in her own words : I'm Angela or Angy here, I'm 46, originally from Italy but currently living in Seoul. I’ve been an ARMY for six years now, and it was actually thanks to my kids-who were ARMYs before me-that I got fully immersed into the world of K-pop.   After the brief introduction and with excitement still fresh in her voice, diving right into their experience - from the moment they arrived at the venue to the unforgettable highlights that left a lasting impression, here’s what she shared about witnessing BTS FESTA 2025 live, surrounded by fellow ARMYs, music, and magic. S: What inspired you to attend BTS FESTA this year? A: My motivation to attend BTS FESTA this year was first and foremost my deep love for BTS. I simply had to be there to celebrate their 12th anniversary and pay tribute to them. Since such events don’t happen in Europe and I happened to be in Korea, missing it was never an option for me. S: Can you describe the atmosphere at the event? What was the energy like? A: The atmosphere was absolutely breathtaking. Emotions were all over the place-there was laughter and tears of joy, the bittersweet feeling of being there with  BTS yet also without  them. Being surrounded by ARMYs from all corners of the world made the experience deeply personal for everyone, and truly magical.   S: What were some of the most memorable or emotional moments for you? A: One of the most moving moments was when the lights went out at noon and our light sticks lit up perfectly in sync with a video montage of BTS’s greatest moments on the screen. Just thinking about it still gives me goosebumps and brings tears to my eyes-it genuinely felt like they were right there among us. S: Were there any installations, exhibits, or performances that stood out to you? Why? A: The trophy zone really stood out to me. The trophies were displayed on shelves shaped like our logos-the BTS and ARMY logos-and that moved me so much. It symbolized that BTS and ARMY are truly one. To us, BTS won those trophies, naturally-but from their perspective, it’s thanks to us that those victories were possible. S: What was your favorite interactive activity or booth? A: If I had to pick, it would be the photo booths. They let you create a tangible memory, a special moment captured forever in a picture. S: Did you get any FESTA merchandise or limited items? What was that experience like? A: I did try to buy some merch, but I ended up canceling my order because after 45 minutes in line, progress was too slow. Honestly, I preferred to spend my time enjoying the various booths and experiences instead. S: Did you meet or connect with ARMYs from other countries? Any fun or touching stories? A: I met so many wonderful ARMYs, and while I don’t have a specific anecdote, our conversations all touched on similar things: how and when we became ARMY, what the fandom means to us, and the feelings it stirs.   S: Was there anything unexpected that surprised or deeply moved you during FESTA? A: One truly touching moment was finally meeting an ARMY I’ve followed online for years. I went to greet her, and as I was leaving, she caught up to me and took selfies with me. When she saw my name, she immediately recognized me, and I was really touched by her kindness and how warmly she approached me.   S: Even though BTS members couldn’t all be there, did you feel their presence in any way? How? A: Absolutely. BTS was everywhere-in every corner and detail. We came to be there for them, but in reality, it felt like they were there for us . The gifts, the thoughtful setups-everything reflected their presence and was made to thank us, even though we were the ones there to thank them . I hope that makes sense. S: What did attending BTS FESTA mean to you personally as a fan? A: It means everything. At the same time, I feel like I haven’t done nearly enough. Like so many ARMYs, BTS came into my life during my most difficult moments, and the gratitude I feel toward them is endless. I could never thank them enough in a single lifetime. Being there was an incredible gift-there really aren’t words to fully express it. As our conversation with Angy came to a close, one thing became clear - BTS FESTA 2025 wasn’t just an event; it was a celebration of connection, growth, and the unbreakable bond between BTS and their fans. Through her eyes, we’ve relived moments of joy, reflection, and overwhelming emotion that only FESTA can bring. Whether you were cheering in the crowd or watching from halfway across the world, the purple thread that ties this global family together was stronger than ever. And as BTS continues their journey, so too will the ARMY — walking beside them with love, loyalty, and light. Until next FESTA — purple hearts, forever.  Credit to all the pictures go to Angy.

  • [Series] 5. The Magic of Bulguksa

There is no argument that Gyeongju, the former capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla, has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Korea.Home to not just one but several UNESCO World Heritage Sites and 31 national treasures, it is bound to be an unforgettable visit.Royal tombs, stone pagodas, temples, old palaces, Seokguram Grotto or the oldest astronomical observatory in Asia, to name some of its main attractions, make it a must-see destination for tourists and locals alike. What better way to learn about a country's history than to experience it first-hand. This is the last article from the series about my favorite temples in Korea that have a special meaning to me. My first favorite temple is Bulguksa (불국사).It was one of many "firsts" that I experienced on my maiden voyage to Korea. It was love at first sight. It also became the place where I experienced my first meditation and, consequently, where the vision about my future life in Korea was revealed to me;and to this day it is my number one favorite temple in Korea.I usually visit it every year and feel the same joy every time. Bulguksa Temple front view. (Photo by Melline Galani) View from the main stairs of the main pavilion of Bulguksa. (Photo by Melline Galani) Memorial for a high priest of Bulguksa who passed away. (Photo by Melline Galani) Originally built in 528 during the Silla Dynasty, Bulguksa was later rebuilt by Kim Dae-seong (700–774), a chief minister in the Silla Kingdom, in the year 751. Unfortunately, the temple caught fire during the Imjin War (1592–1598).After this time, the temple suffered further damage and was often the target of robbers.Restorations were made over the centuries, often based on ancient descriptions, but the complex is now much smaller than the original. The temple is accepted as the quintessence of Buddhist architecture. With colorful tiles decorating the underside of the roof and large statues of the Four Heavenly Kings at the entrance, it is truly a sight to behold. Along the way, you will pass by a beautiful pond, and just outside the temple, you will be greeted by one of the most beautiful facades of any temple in Korea. The temple was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 and remains active today, with monks chanting and performing Buddhist rituals in every hall. On top of its rich history, Bulguksa also encompasses seven of South Korea's national treasures. Other pavilions of Bulguksa Temple. (Photo by Melline Galani) Among them the three-story stone pagodas named Dabotap Pagoda and Seokgatap Pagoda are also the two most renowned pagodas in Korea. They have the same height and stand facing each other, one in the east and the other in the west. Beautiful in any season, this temple should be on the bucket list of any traveler to South Korea, but be aware that it might be crowded even on cold, rainy days because its fame goes beyond the country's borders.   Dabotap Pagoda. ( Photo by KS KYUNG on Unsplash ) The almost two thousand years history of Buddhism in Korea will give you a quiet refuge in which to meditate or rediscover peace of mind through these tranquil, spiritual temples, whether you are a traveler, a long-term resident, a local or a tourist. Prayers and wishes at Bulguksa. (Photo by Melline Galani)

  • Space7: Five Transformative Conversations

A Language Beyond Words: Exploring the Boundaries of Communication Through Art In a world where words often dominate how we understand and relate to one another, Space7's latest interactive exhibition , Five Transformative Conversations , offers an immersive alternative. Located in the subterranean calm of MMCA Gallery 7, B1 in Seoul , the exhibition invites visitors to rediscover the core of human connection-not through verbal dialogue, but through multisensory artistic engagement. This unique event unfolds over five artist-led explorations  that highlight how communication can be reshaped by sound, movement, texture, and emotion. Free to the public, this exhibition blends visual art, performance, and community participation, inviting everyone to engage in the kinds of conversations that transcend language. The Five Conversations: Immersive Experiences Each of the five zones offers a different way of “speaking,” with visitors becoming both audience and participant in the creative act of dialogue. 1. Shape of Voice Translate sound into sculpture In this tactile experience, participants interact with soundscapes that are captured in physical form. Through sculptural materials, visitors can literally mold their emotions into shapes-blurring the boundary between hearing and feeling. This installation probes how we understand the description personally. 2. Dialogue of Lines Weave together in silent conversation Here, conversation unfolds without a single word. Instead, participants use threads, lines, and gesture to create collective weavings and drawings. These abstract “dialogues” capture unspoken responses and mutual attentiveness-challenging us to consider how silence can carry more depth than speech. 3. Connected Worlds Share illustrated diaries that speak beyond words This heartwarming space invites visitors to peek into illustrated journals from across cultures and generations. Through images, textures, and visual metaphors, these diaries offer a deeply intimate look at how people narrate their lives without relying on spoken language. Visitors are also encouraged to contribute to a living journal wall-extending the conversation across time and place. Events and Workshops Beyond the installations, the exhibition features a dynamic lineup of: Ongoing Workshops  where artists guide participants through embodied communication practices Artist Talks  exploring the philosophy of non-verbal expression Film Screenings  that delve into the intersection of language, identity, and community Interactive Sessions  including sound mapping and movement-based storytelling These programs reinforce the exhibition’s goal: to transform art from a static object into a living, breathing dialogue . Thematic Core: Art as a Bridge At its essence, Five Transformative Conversations  posits that language isn’t one-size-fits-all . Communication, in this context, is a pliable, inclusive medium-reshaped by who we are, how we feel, and what we wish to convey. From gesture to sculpture, line to diary, this exhibition dares us to imagine what it means to truly connect. The experience becomes a radical act of listening -to others and to ourselves-through modes of expression we may have long forgotten or overlooked. Visitor Information Venue:  Gallery 7, B1 Floor, MMCA Seoul Dates:  April 4 – July 13, 2025 Admission:  FREE Language Accessibility:  Multisensory design accommodates diverse communication needs Ideal For:  Art lovers, educators, families, and anyone curious about the power of non-verbal connection Space7: Five Transformative Conversations  is not merely an exhibition-it’s a collaborative dialogue about how we relate to one another  in today’s hyperverbal world. It gently suggests that listening, feeling, and creating can offer a richer vocabulary than speech alone. Whether you’re a Seoul local or an international visitor, this is an experience that will speak to you-even without saying a word.

  • [Series] 4.Haeinsa's Tripitaka Koreana

On my first trip to Korea in 2014, I had two temples on my bucket list that I wanted to see the most: Haeinsa and Bulguksa. In this article I introduce my number two favorite one. In the outstanding beauty of Gayasan mountain lies one of the most sacred temples in Korea - Haeinsa, home of the world's most comprehensive and oldest version of the Buddhist canon, carved on more than 80,000 wooden blocks, known as Tripitaka Koreana.Crafted in the 13th century as an offering for divine protection against Mongol invasions, these meticulously preserved blocks are considered a masterpiece of religious devotion and ancient craftsmanship.Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Tripitaka Koreana remains not only a spiritual treasure but also a testament to Korea's cultural and historical resilience. It's believed that Haeinsa Temple was first established in 802 A.D.by the monks Suneung and Ijeong upon their return from their religious studies in Tang China.Unlike other renowned Buddhist temples on the Korean Peninsula, Haeinsa Temple has been spared from plunder and destruction due to its remote and isolated location. This isolation proved decisive during the Imjin War (1592–1598), when invading Japanese forces targeted the temple's priceless Tripitaka Koreana woodblocks for loot.Yet their plans were thwarted by Seosan-daesa (1520-1604), a revered monk who rallied a Righteous Army of warrior monks to defend the kingdom. Stone pagoda ( www.iclickart.co.kr ) Haeinsa ( www.iclickart.co.kr ) One pavilion of Haeinsa ( www.iclickart.co.kr ) Haeinsa's main square ( www.iclickart.co.kr ) Illjumun Gate ( Photo by KS KYUNG on Unsplash ) Tripitaka Koreana at Haeinsa Temple (Bernard Gagnon, CC0, via Wikimedia Commons) Tripitaka Koreana woodblock (Steve46814, CC BY-SA 3.0 , via Wikimedia Commons) Led by his disciple Samyeong-daesa (1544-1610), these monks turned Haeinsa into a stronghold, ambushing Japanese troops with guerrilla strikes in the Hongnyu-dong Valley.Their defiance not only saved the Tripitaka Koreana but also cemented Haeinsa's legacy as a bastion of Korea's spiritual and cultural resistance.Gayasan itself is revered as one of the top eight scenic spots in the country due to its grotesque-looking rocks, clean running streams, and red pine forest, the like of which is rarely seen elsewhere in Korea.Throughout the centuries, Haeinsa Temple has undergone numerous expansions like in 1488, 1622, and 1644. Tragically, most of Haeinsa T temple was destroyed by fire in 1817. In total, Haeinsa Temple has suffered seven disastrous fires with varying degrees of destruction.Fortunately, the fire of 1817 spared the Tripitaka Koreana housed inside the ancient library. The creation of the Tripitaka Koreana was not merely a feat of woodcarving, but an unprecedented scholarly endeavor that combined rigorous textual criticism, linguistic mastery, and religious devotion. To produce the most accurate Buddhist canon in history, Goryeo scholars undertook a meticulous comparative analysis of existing versions from China's Song Dynasty, Khitan Liao Dynasty, and even fragments from Japan's Nara period.A dedicated editorial bureau was established to cross-reference every sutra, vinaya (monastic codes), and abhidharma (philosophical commentaries) across multiple sources, resolving discrepancies through debate and consultation with monastic authorities. The result was a textual masterpiece of unmatched fidelity—52 million characters across 81,258 blocks, without a single known error. This scholarly rigor elevated the Tripitaka Koreana above all other versions, including China's Kaibao Canon (imperfect due to wartime compilation) and Japan's Nara Tripitaka (incomplete and stylistically inconsistent). Therefore Haeinsa Temple holds an exceptional place in Korea's cultural heritage being recognized for its historic and scenic significance. Its crowning achievement came in 1995 when UNESCO designated both the temple's Janggyeong Panjeon Depositories and the Tripitaka Koreana woodblocks as a World Heritage Site - a testament to their global cultural importance. The buildings of Janggyeong Panjeon, which date from the 15th century, were constructed to house the woodblocks, which are also revered as exceptional works of art.As the oldest depository of the Tripitaka, they reveal an astonishing mastery of the invention and implementation of the conservation techniques used to preserve these woodblocks. However visitors cannot enter the archive room itself, but the woodblocks are visible through the slatted windows, offering a glimpse of these ancient treasures from the exterior viewing area. Haeinsa Temple is more than just a historic site—it is a living testament to Korea's spiritual heritage, artistic mastery, and unyielding resilience. From the awe-inspiring Tripitaka Koreana to the serene beauty of its mountain surroundings, the temple offers a profound journey into Korea's past and present.Whether you seek cultural enlightenment, architectural wonder, or a moment of tranquility away from modern life, Haeinsa invites you to walk in the footsteps of monks and scholars who have safeguarded these sacred grounds for over a millennium.A visit here is not just a step into history, but an encounter with the enduring heart of Korean Buddhism.

  • Monsoon Season vs. Jangma (장마): What’s the Difference and How to Prepare in Korea

Credit : gettyimages beausimondsv Every year, as summer approaches, South Korea braces for a period of heavy rainfall, known locally as "jangma" (장마) . But wait - isn’t that just the monsoon season ? Not quite. While the two terms are related, they’re not identical. In this article, we’ll break down the difference between monsoon and jangma , explore the science behind the rain , and share essential tips on how to prepare  for the season - whether you’re a local, a traveler, or a new resident in Korea. What Is the Monsoon Season? The term "monsoon"  refers to a large-scale wind system  that shifts direction seasonally and brings dramatic changes in weather  - especially heavy rainfall . Global Context: South Asia (India, Bangladesh) : Monsoons arrive in June  and last until September , bringing floods and vital agricultural water. Southeast Asia (Thailand, Vietnam) : Monsoon rains dominate from May through October . East Asia (China, Japan, Korea) : A shorter, but intense, monsoon phase  hits in summer . 👉 In short, monsoon  = a broad climatological system  that affects entire regions and countries. What Is Jangma (장마)? Jangma  is the Korean term  for the rainy season , caused by the same East Asian monsoon system — but with specific timing, cultural relevance, and characteristics  in Korea. Characteristics of Jangma: Occurs between mid-June and late July . Lasts about 3–5 weeks . Caused by a stationary front (장마전선)  that forms between warm, humid air from the south and cold air from the north. Brings prolonged rainfall, humidity, occasional flooding , and unpredictable thunderstorms . 🧠 Think of jangma as Korea’s local “expression” of the broader monsoon system  - tailored by geography and climate. Key Differences at a Glance Feature Monsoon Season Jangma (장마) Definition Seasonal wind pattern with rain Korean rainy season Scope Global/Regional (Asia, Africa, Americas) Specific to Korea Timing Varies: May–October depending on region Mid-June to late July Duration Months-long About 1 month Use Meteorological term Everyday term in Korea Cultural Relevance Scientific, agricultural Common in media, life, health What Happens During Jangma ? Humidity  skyrockets: Indoor air feels damp and sticky. Heavy, sustained rain  becomes common - sometimes for days without pause . Flash floods , leaks , and mudslides  can occur in vulnerable areas. Clothes take longer to dry , and mold growth  becomes a real concern. Allergies and respiratory issues  can worsen due to moisture in the air. Credit: pulse.mk.co.kr How to Prepare for Jangma in Korea Here’s what you need to do before and during jangma  to stay safe, dry, and healthy. Essentials to Buy: Sturdy umbrella  or hooded raincoat Waterproof shoes  or sandals Dehumidifier  or moisture-absorbing packs (especially for closets!) Air purifier  (helps with musty smells and allergens) Quick-dry clothing Anti-slip mats  for your home entrance Home Tips: Air out rooms when it's dry to prevent mold. Clean window sills regularly — they get damp fast. Keep electronics and important documents away from floor level. Use a fan or dehumidifier in laundry areas. Health & Lifestyle Tips: Eat easily digestible food  - humidity can affect your appetite. Take extra care of skin  - breakouts and fungal infections are more common. If you have asthma or sinus issues, keep indoor air dry and clean. For Travelers & Expats Visiting Korea during jangma? Don’t cancel your plans - just be smart about them. ✔️ Do: Visit museums, cafes, indoor markets , and aquariums . Book accommodations with laundry drying options . Pack a rain poncho, compact umbrella, and fast-drying layers . ❌ Avoid: Hiking during or right after rain - landslides are a danger. Visiting rural or flood-prone regions  without checking advisories. Wearing cotton shoes - they stay wet for hours. While jangma  and the monsoon season  share a meteorological connection, jangma is uniquely Korean , both in its intensity and cultural footprint. If you’re in Korea during the rainy season, take it in stride - prepare your space , adjust your wardrobe , and find joy in the rhythm of the rain. After all, jangma makes way for Korea’s stunning green landscapes  and hot, vibrant summer festivals . Credit :   gettyimages beausimondsv Bonus : What About Typhoon Season in Korea? While jangma (장마)  brings sustained rain in early summer, Korea’s typhoon season  usually follows right after - typically from late July to early October . Key Facts: Typhoons  are intense tropical storms originating in the Pacific Ocean . Korea sees about 2 to 3 typhoons per year , though not all make landfall. When they do, they bring extremely strong winds , heavy rain , and coastal flooding . August and early September  are peak months for typhoon activity. What to Do: Keep an eye on Korean Meteorological Administration (KMA)  alerts. Secure windows, balconies, and rooftop items . Avoid travel near coastal areas or mountains  during a typhoon warning. Make sure you have flashlights, chargers, and extra food  in case of outages. Even after jangma ends, it’s wise to stay weather-aware during Korea’s late summer. With the right preparations, you can safely enjoy the season - come rain or typhoon.

  • BTS FESTA 2014 - 2025 : CELEBRATING MORE THAN A DECADE OF DREAMS - I

Every June, as the 13th approaches, excitement builds among ARMYs worldwide. It’s more than just a date—it marks BTS’ debut and the start of FESTA , a beloved tradition celebrating the deep bond between BTS and their fans. Since 2014, FESTA has been a heartfelt thank-you to ARMY, filled with unreleased songs, dance practices, emotional letters, and special content. As BTS continues to grow—both as a group and through their solo paths—FESTA remains a tribute to their journey and the memories shared with ARMY. In this article, we revisit the standout moments from each year, leading up to the joyful celebration of FESTA 2025. 2014-18 From The First FESTA Begins - Reaching a Global Stardom BTS kicked off their very first FESTA on June 13, 2014 , celebrating their debut with two weeks of special content, including the emotional track So 4 More , a fun Adult Child  dance practice, and the heartfelt BTS Kkul FM 06.13  broadcast featuring all seven members. In 2015, FESTA returned with more confidence and stronger musical identity, opening with Hug Me   by V and j-hope, and included We Are Bulletproof Pt. 1 ,  family portraits, along with a memorable Kkul FM   episode where BTS spoke of their dream to perform at Jamsil Olympic Stadium —a dream that has since come true. By 2016, with global recognition growing, BTS opened FESTA with   I Know   by RM and Jungkook. Fans also enjoyed Eat Jin , dynamic dance clips, and a Happy BTS Day  live stream. SUGA hosted Kkul FM , reflecting on their hits like   Fire   and Dope .  That year also introduced Bang Talk , a mini-magazine filled with photos, doodles, and heartfelt letters to ARMY. For 2017 FESTA ,  BTS released dance practices for Not Today   and Like Part 2   also touching covers like So Far Away  (Agust D, Jin, Jungkook), and 4 O’Clock  (RM and V). Fans also received birthday drawings,   BTS RESUME  profiles, and a nostalgic house party via V LIVE. 2018   marked BTS’ explosive global rise and FESTA kicked off with the rap-line banger Ddaeng , followed by a new dinner party tradition,   Fake Love   and Spring Day  remixes, the BTS Happiness List , and special unit stages from the PROM PARTY —cementing their growing impact worldwide. A nostalgic BTS FESTA collage showing the group laughing, hugging in suits, posing poolside, and relaxing in striped outfits. 2019-2021 Reflecting on Growth Amid the Pandemic and SOWOOZOO FESTA in 2019 offered fans exclusive content like an Anpanman   stage cam from New York and a heartfelt video of BTS reflecting on their journey. Also a solo track Tonight was released by Jin on SoundCloud which was later made available on streaming platforms. Their tradition of a warm, candid dinner party continued, celebrating their bond and appreciation for ARMY. In 2020, despite the pandemic canceling their   Map of the Soul: 7  tour , BTS made FESTA special. ARMYs received pink-themed family portraits, a drawing of the members’ ideal room, and Jungkook’s emotional solo Still With You . The iconic dinner party returned with unity and warmth, while   Answer: BTS 3 Units   and We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal   reflected the group’s resilience. FESTA 2021 combined with the SOWOOZOO  online Muster  featured performances like Mikrokosmos , medleys during BTS Room Live ,  and RM’s introspective song Bicycle . Members shared cherished mementos—like Jimin’s 2013 amusement park ticket—and ended the celebration with a fun, self-themed quiz full of laughs and nostalgia. BTS members dressed in sleek black suits with playful sunglasses for a FESTA performance and a second shot of them in bright, colorful outfits smiling warmly in a pastel-themed room. 2022-2023 From Nine Years and a New Chapter to A Festa Without Them- Yet With Them FESTA 2022 was an emotional milestone. Highlights included a surprise stage with Anderson Paak, the release of the anthology album Proof , and Jungkook’s touching fan song   My You . The most heartfelt moment came during the dinner party, where BTS announced plans of hiatus  to pursue solo projects, signaling a new chapter that moved fans deeply. Despite all members serving in the military, FESTA 2023 remained meaningful and heartwarming. BTS turned their social media purple and launched a nostalgic celebration with BANGBANGCON , featuring streamed concerts like 5th Muster   and MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E . Fans were gifted Take Two   and a Suchwita   episode with SUGA and Jin, keeping BTS’s presence alive through cherished photos, videos, and sketches. Colorful visuals from BTS's 10th FESTA anniversary in Yeouido, including animated and real group shots of the members dressed in pastel outfits with purple props and confetti. 2024: Celebrating 11 Years and Jin’s Return   The 11th-anniversary FESTA  with the word “ APOBANGPO ” lightened up the HYBE building. Adding to the joy, Jungkook gifted fans the touching song Never Let Go . BANGBANGCON  returned with epic concert replays including The Red Bullet   and Speak Yourself: The Final . Most notably, Jin had completed his military service and made his return on June 12. To mark this milestone, he hosted a special fan event filled with live sessions and heartfelt hugs—making this FESTA truly unforgettable. 2025 - Beginning of a Happy Ending - I with Signature Humor, Heart, and a Hint of Reunion Magic As ARMYs around the world waited for BTS’s long-awaited full-group comeback, the iconic group has officially kicked off the 2025 BTS FESTA , marking their 12th debut anniversary with a perfect blend of sentiment, celebration, and their signature playful chaos. This year’s FESTA carries extra emotional weight, symbolizing not just another milestone but the dawn of a new chapter— the return of all seven members following military service. The festivities began on May 31 , when BTS unveiled a self-produced skit, [2025 FESTA] BTS News , on their official YouTube channel. The video, under ten minutes, featured Jin —aka World Wide Handsome—taking on the role of a charming and charismatic  news anchor, while j-hope  steals the show as a multi-talented reporter, ARMY stand-in, and a weather presenter. Overflowing with inside jokes, lighthearted satire, and a signature BTS-style chaos, the skit offers a warm and funny welcome to this year’s celebration. FESTA 2025 visuals: Jin at a mock news desk, Hobi reporting from a fan event, and striking black-clad portraits of Jin, reflecting reunion and growth. J-hope’s scripted humorous antics included everything from prank-calling a fictional 12-year ARMY (played by himself) to forecasting "over 30°C of fan excitement" for June 13 and 14—joking that the air would feel "6.13°C hotter than usual," a clever wink at BTS’s debut date. On June 1 , BTS’s official channels confirmed the FESTA would run from June 1–14,  blending online content with large-scale offline fan experiences. The offline event was to be  held at Halls 9 and 10 of Exhibition Center 2, KINTEX , in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do Province , from June 13–14 . The venue featured nearly 20 interactive booths,  including: Army Bomb Photo Spot  – a massive BTS light stick installation with a synchronized light show Voice Zone  – where fans can hear heartfelt audio messages from each member Trophy Zone  – showcasing BTS’s journey and major achievements alongside ARMY’s support BTS Locker  – an intimate peek into each member’s favorite items and personal tastes For those who couldn’t  attend in person, digital content was rolled out daily from June 2 to 13, offering a rich, immersive experience worldwide. Leading the charge for this year’s celebration are Jin and j-hope , who have completed their military service and are already fueling fan excitement. Fresh photos and video snippets of the two idols, looking flawless as ever, have sent ARMYs into a frenzy—especially over their "face cards" that simply never decline. June 2025 marked not only BTS’s anniversary month but also the symbolic return of all seven members to civilian life, this year’s FESTA feels extra special.
