Initiated in 2021, the project is part of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province’s tourism revitalization plan, aimed at enhancing regional appeal and economic growth through infrastructure improvements. The construction of the bridge, along with complementary developments such as a wooden amphitheater and a state-of-the-art media art display center, was completed with an investment of 5.2 billion won from the local government budget.
