Aquarium Hanwha Aqua Planet 63 first opened its doors in 1985 in Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea. It was the nation's first aquarium open to the public. When it was constructed, the 63 Building was the tallest structure in Korea. It is still a well-known structure in Seoul. Each year, the aquarium welcomes roughly 1,000,000 people.
In the three basement levels of the 63 Building, the aquarium, which measures 5,630 square meters (60,600 square feet) in size, was first inaugurated in 1985. (the third basement is an equipment level and not open to the public). It replicated ocean ecosystems from all around the world, and its goal was to "be a center of teaching for individuals interested in learning more about marine life." The harbor seal show debuted in 1990 and continues to run every day. 2016 saw the renovation and reopening of Seaworld 63 as Aquaplanet 63.
20,000+ creatures representing 400+ species currently live on Aqua Planet 63, including king and jackass penguins, pirarucus, piranhas, Oriental small-clawed otters, harbor seals, and sea lions.
They also feature a mermaid show in addition to the stunning exhibitions. You may check this out every day. Never miss the Mermaid Show, the 63 Aquarium's representative performance! Every day at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:30, 17:30, and 18:30, mermaid shows begin running.
