Step Into a Royal Moment: The 2025 Gyeongbokgung Saenggwabang Tour

Imagine sipping royal herbal tea in a serene courtyard, surrounded by the elegance of a Joseon-era palace, soft traditional music playing in the background, and staff in exquisite hanbok tending to you as if you were a royal guest. At the 2025 Gyeongbokgung Saenggwabang Tour, this isn't just a fantasy—it's your next unforgettable cultural experience in Seoul.

A Rare Invitation Into Royal Life

Gyeongbokgung, the grandest of Seoul's Five Great Palaces, opens the doors to a truly exclusive experience for foreign visitors. For just 15,000 KRW per person, the Saenggwabang (the royal kitchen responsible for preparing desserts and teas for the king and queen) is brought back to life in a beautiful, immersive 70-minute program.

Once your reservation is confirmed through Creatrip—the only platform offering exclusive foreign visitor tickets—you’ll receive a token that allows you to select one of four types of traditional royal herbal tea (see the pictures). Seating and tea choice are both first-come, first-served, so arriving early is essential!

A Feast for the Senses

Upon arrival, you’ll be seated around a serene central courtyard. A beautifully arranged assortment of traditional Korean royal snacks awaits you—delicate, colorful confections as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate.

As the staff in hanbok move gracefully through the courtyard, attending to guests and serving the herbal teas, the atmosphere becomes something extraordinary. The background melodies of traditional instruments set the scene. For a brief time, it feels as though the centuries have slipped away. It is indeed a relaxing and healing experience.

Capture the Moment, Live the Story

Don’t forget your camera—photo opportunities abound. The staff are dressed in full traditional attire and are happy to pose with guests, making for the perfect memento of your royal experience.

Once the tea and snacks have been savored, guests are free to explore the majestic grounds of Gyeongbokgung Palace at their leisure, now seen with new eyes—through the lens of lived history.

Reserve Your Place in Time

With limited seating and high demand, this experience is already sold out for the first session of the year. But be sure to keep an eye out for the second session of the year.
